CMS is preparing to move to iQIES for MDS submissions and it is important to create an account and establish credentials in the HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) System. Please follow the instructions listed here to ensure your nursing facility has access to the new system before April 13, 2023.
Important information regarding downtime for submitting assessments:
- April 13, 2023, at 8:00 p.m., access to the QIES system for MDS submission will end.
- April 17, 2023, at 8:00 a.m., you will have access to iQIES and the ability to transmit assessments, view validation reports, and other MDS related reports. Once the transition is completed, you will use iQIES for anything MDS related.
From April 13-17, nursing facilities will not be able to transmit any assessments. Please make sure completed assessments are submitted before 8:00 p.m. ET on April 13. This will help ensure you are within the MDS transmission requirements outlined in the RAI manual.
