The Executive Director directs the day to day operation of Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing by performing the following duties personally or through department leaders.

THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and oversees the day to day operation of the Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing including the direction, administration and supervision of the Medicare and Medicaid Certified skilled nursing facility (SNF), EOEA Certified assisted living program and all other housing and support services on the Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing campus.
Develops policies and procedures to ensure high quality services and the efficient operation of Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing.
Assures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards including but not limited to the Department of Public Health, Executive Office of Elder Affairs, OSHA, and CCAC.
Prepares, monitors, and administers operational and capital budgets in conjunction with the Department Directors and CFO, maintains fiscal control of assigned areas, and completes required financial reports.
Demonstrates an awareness of local senior housing and support services providers and market conditions. Participates in the implementation of the Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing marketing plan and strives to maintain the targeted occupancy levels.
Hires, directs, supervises, develops, and evaluates the performance of department leaders.
Monitors emerging trends across senior housing and services industry and implements best practices. Participates in senior leadership team to recommend and establish goals, policies, procedures and strategic direction of the organization and to assure coordination of services between all Loomis communities.
Develops and implements mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing programs.
Demonstrates an awareness of, a respect for and attention to the diversity of the people with whom they interact (persons served, team members, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that is reflected in attitudes, behavior and services.
Strives to attain excellence in resident satisfaction by soliciting resident feedback, promoting interactive problem solving, and implementing resident suggestions.
Provides leadership to Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing resident and Foundation committees and assures timely completion of meeting minutes.
Actively participates in planning and implementing leadership and staff training programs to ensure compliance with all required training and to promote professional development.
Holds meetings with department leaders and all facility staff to provide leadership, to promote team building, to facilitate two-way communication and participation in decision-making, and to coordinate services at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing and between communities.
Periodically attends Board and Foundation meetings and actively serves on strategic planning and other committees as assigned.
Makes an active contribution to establishing positive community relations, increasing public regard and overall awareness of Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing .
Maintains compliance with confidentiality requirements and residents’ rights.
Monitors compliance with safety regulations, infection control, and universal precautions.
Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of The Loomis Communities.
Complies with all CARF/CCAC standards and guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages department leaders who supervise team members in the departments of the community. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination,development, and evaluation of these departments. – Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely manner

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Educational criteria which are required for obtaining a license as a Nursing Home Administrator and – experience in the HOSPITALITY, SENIOR LIVING or HEALTHCARE industry.
