Position Summary
The Director of Admissions is responsible for all tours, inquiries, admissions, marketing and sales related activity to achieve occupancy and payor mix goals.
Responsible for the inquiry process, tours, internal admissions process, customer service initiatives, payor sources, and other related revenue generating practices in conjunction with census development and bed management. Position is responsible for intimate knowledge of the primary market area competitors, referral partners and internal/external community positioning initiatives.
The Director will foster a resident centered inquiry and admissions process; maintain the existing customer base while growing a new base of business through education in a variety of settings, execution of exceptional customer service and community positioning initiatives.

Position Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Daily attendance of morning meeting.
• Processes all phone inquiries, referrals, conducts facility tours with potential clients.
• Completes room readiness checks for new admissions and re-admissions, and completes daily facility rounds to assure facility tour readiness at all times.
• Greets all new admissions, families/responsible party. Completes new admission paperwork/facility agreement with resident, family/responsible party prior to or at time of admission.
• Daily bed management to accommodate new business.
• Budgeted occupancy and payor mix management.
• External sales, networking and educational activity with health care related professionals, senior organizations, special interest groups and community contacts.
• All aspects of direct contact and follow-up, networking and referral building, promotional events and public speaking.
• Manages daily data entry of CRM database.
• Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as adheres to, upholds, and enforces all facility policies and procedures.

Education and Experience
2+ years’ experience in long term care setting and/or admissions/marketing
Computer proficiency required
Working knowledge of health care setting, principles of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement, nursing home regulations are necessary to be successful
