Lasell Village has an opening for a CNA to join our team. This position is working with residents in our supported living unit. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.

Lasell Village, sponsored by Lasell College, is home to some 225 residents in its independent living apartments. The Village also includes Lasell Studios, a 9 apartment-supported living unit, and Lasell House, a 38-bed skilled nursing facility. Open since May 2000, the Village combines the elements of lifelong learning, retirement living, support services, and short-term rehabilitation

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Supported Living Manager, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. He/she will function within the standards of practice as accorded by his/her certification. The CNA performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of a state-approved, certified nursing assistant program
A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
Patient Care

Treat all residents fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, provide nursing care in privacy
Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times
Provides patient care in a manner
Keep patients dry (change gown and linens when wet or soiled)
Assist with meals and daily snacks as indicated
Assists patient with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Obtains and records Vital Signs and weights per policy
Assists patients with ambulation and transfers
Positions patients in correct body alignment in and out of bed
Applies adaptive equipment as ordered
Cares for personal belongings
Assists physician and/or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed
conductive to safety and comfort. Patient care includes, but is not limited to:
Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds
Notify licensed nurse if patient identification is missing
Participates in the care planning process and implements care according to the care plan
Performs skin care treatments, as permitted by state regulation
Applies simple clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages, under the direction of the licensed nurse, as permitted by state regulation
Feeds or assists patients with meals and provides additional nourishment and hydration per care plan
Maintain intake and output records as instructed
Answers call light or bell promptly delivers messages, clean areas of spillage or accidents
Uses standard precautions when caring for all patients. Adheres to Contact and/or droplet precautions as indicated
Reports changes in patient’s condition, patient/family concerns, or complaints to charge nurse and/or supervisor
Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.
