Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for Billing Staff

Seminar Description:
Wondering how PDPM will change the billing process?  Join us at this important seminar and learn what the Billers role will be in the PDPM process.

With the upcoming payment change planned for October 1st, providers will need to ensure all systems are prepared and are functioning prior to the first month of billing. This session that will analyze what billers should expect, including: how the new payment model will change topics to be reviewed during triple check meetings, coordinating your Medicare meeting and billing, how to post CMGs under PDPM and how the new rates will be structured.  

Objectives:
This full-day seminar will help you prepare by reviewing the following:
1.Review of the PDPM Program.
2.Billing requirements under PDPM.
3.Review of Case Mix Groupings and HIPPS Modifiers.
4.Reporting of primary diagnoses on the UB04 claim.

Target Audience:  Billing staff at skilled nursing facilities

Presenter:
Maureen McCarthy, RN, BS, RAC-MT, QCP-MT, DNS-MT, OASIS Master Trainer is the President of Celtic Consulting, LLC and the CEO and founder of Care Transitions, LLP, a post discharge care management services provider.  Celtic Consulting is an Associate Member of Mass Senior Care Association.

Fees:
$150 for Mass Senior Care Members        $300 for Non-Members
A Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

CEUs:
5.0 CEUs will be awarded for nurses and nursing home administrators. The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators for Administrators. This program also meets continuing education requirements for Nurses in Massachusetts. All paid registrants will receive certificate of attendance. 

Cancellation Policy:
Mass Senior Care must be notified in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the seminar for a credit of equal amount to be issued to your Mass Senior Care account. No refunds will be given.  “No Show” attendees will be billed at the full registration fee. Cancellations should be emailed to info@maseniorcare.org.
