  • Omnibus Nursing Home Reform Bill Advances to House Committee on Ways and Means
June 10, 2022

This week, the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing issued a favorable report to H.4780, An Act to Improve Quality and Oversight of Long-Term Care. The omnibus nursing home reform bill legislation has now advanced to the House Committee on Ways and Means. The bill authored by the Joint Committee on Elder Affairs consolidated 16 separate pieces of legislation filed independently by Governor Baker, the advocacy community, and Mass Senior Care. Please find a Section-by-Section summary here.

The 2021-2022 formal legislative session ends on July 31, 2022 and we anticipate this bill may be acted upon over the next month.
