Management/Administration Positions

  • Nursing Home Administrators oversee the daily operations of the nursing facility to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.  Administrators typically have a degree in health care administration or a related field or are Registered Nurses with additional training in long term care administration.  In Massachusetts, nursing home administrators must be licensed and pass a state-administered exam.  For more information on how to become a licensed nursing home administrator, click here.   • Assisted Living Executive Directors manage the daily operations of the residence to ensure the services and care the residents need are provided.

     
  • Financial Management Staff manages the facility’s financial affairs, including overseeing of insurance coverage and benefits as well as the billing and collection process.  Most facilities have a financial manager who may be assisted by billing and reimbursement clerks.

     
  • Human Resource Staff is responsible for all personnel matters at the facility, including staff recruitment, hiring and benefits administration.
