Seminar Description:
Approximately 40% of nursing homes in Massachusetts have been surveyed under the new process which began on November 27, 2017. In Part One: Managing the New Survey Process, the Department of Public Health walked participants through the new survey process and offered tips on how to manage it. In addition, the top 10 cited deficiencies under the new survey process were reviewed.
In Part Two: Managing the New Survey Process, the Department of Public Health will take a deeper dive into the most frequently cited deficiencies and will provide insight into the key components of each. In addition, DPH will review and discuss the interpretive guidance for these citations and ample time will be provided for Q&A.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:
•Identify the key components of the top 10 deficiencies.
•Understand how these key components are applied during the survey process.
•Understand the interpretive guidance for the top 10 deficiencies.

The Massachusetts Senior Care Association has qualified for “deemed status #NH-09015-007” from the Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators for Administrators.
