2009 AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards Announced: 35 Massachusetts Facilities Recognized
AHCA/NCAL recently announced their Step I and Step II 2009 Quality Awards, which included 26 Step II Award winners and 438 Step I Award winners nationally. Of the 35 Mass Senior Care member facilities who will be honored in Chicago as part of the AHCA/NCAL National Convention, two received Step II Awards and 33 received Step I Awards- the third most in the country in that category. This brings the total number of Massachusetts facilities honored for their achievements through this program to 111.
Based on criteria from the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award, AHCA/NCAL’s Quality Awards recognize the commitment to continuous quality improvement at nursing facilities, assisted living residences and residences for people with mental retardation or developmental disabilities.
